Lathan Moses Stanley Echols is a pretty mouthful name and because of that, he goes simple by Lil Mosey. The latest edition to a long line of rappers was born on January 25, 2002, in Washington, US. His mother is white while his father is a black foreign-born. Attended school in his hometown of Mountlake Terrace and then transferred to Shorecrest High School later. When his singing career took off, he dropped out of school and decided to become a full-time musician.
Like many other amateur singers, Lil Mosey uploaded his first song on Soundcloud in 2016 which received quick limited success. His debut commercial single was “Pull Up” which got 25 million views on YouTube. His subsequent songs “Boof Pack” and “Noticed” also got millions of views. His debut studio album was Northsbest released in October 2018.

“Certified Hitmaker” was his second album released in 2019. The song “Blueberry Faygo” became his highest peaking song and made its place at number 8 on Billboard Hot 100. In late 2020, Mosey announced his new mixtape Universal. His song “Jumpin Out the Face” released on his birthday, 2021, is the latest edition in the album.
It is evident that Lil Mosey is inspired by Meek Mill. In an interview with XXL Magazine, he confessed that Meek is an influence on him. He is better known for his melodic flows and lyrics which portray his life. We can also notice mumbling in his voice.
In April, 2021 Lil Mosey rocked the news when he was charged with rape in Lewis County, Washington. It is alleged that he has raped a girl was in no position to give consent in a party. Although he was not an adult at the time but he can face serious prison time if he is convicted.

The net-worth of Lil Mosey stands at $3 million as of 2021. He has made all his money from his music career which has just started. His label Certified Hitmakers is also a source of income for him.
